Christian Life Church
is a "cell-based" church. This type of
church may seem new, but its origins go back to the
earliest days of the Christian Church, where believers
met primarily in each others homes.
Much more than a weekly Bible study, the cells create
an "extended family" atmosphere. Here,
relationships run deep and meaningful friendships are
made. As cells meet, there are opportunities to ask
questions, to discuss, to laugh, to cry, and to pray
with each other in a safe, non-threatening, informal
atmosphere.
Here are some principles and scriptures relating to
cell ministry.
- Cell Groups are organized as workable units and
function as the Church
.
(Ex. 18:21; 1 Corinthians. 16:19; Col. 4:15; Acts
20:8; Ro. 17:5-7)
- Cell Groups gather with other cells for
weekly Celebration.
(Heb. 10:23-25)
- Cell Groups focus on people, not programs or
facilities.
(Eph. 2:19-22; 1 Peter. 2:5)
- Cell Groups allow for intimacy and
accountability.
(Gal. 6: 1; Heb. 3:13; Heb. 10:24)
- Cell Groups are a place of prayer.
(Mt. 18:19-20; Mk.11:17; Eph. 6:18-20; 1 Thess.
5:17)
- Cell Groups evangelize and multiply.
(Mt. 9:35-38; 29:19; John. 4:35)
- Cell Groups encourage children's
participation in worship.
(Mt. 19:13-15; Ps. 127:3;Neh. 12:43; 2 Chronicles

witness and reveal God.
